Welcome to the Leading Edge R/C Speedway site.

Our 2007-08 indoor season is on.

Our indoor season begins the first Tuesday in October and end the last Tuesday in April. You must register by 5:30pm to race! Racing usually starts at 6pm and we try to be done no later that 10pm. Indoor racing is upstairs in the Power Play Hockey building at 820 Gardiners Rd. in front of Prost Bowling and right next to Condie Pontiac/Buick.

We also have Oval Racing every Saturday beginning the first Tuesday in October and end the last Tuesday in April. To get complete rules on the Oval Racing please call Leading Edge Hobbies.

General Racing Rules:

1. Our track is very family oriented so any foul language etc. will not be tolerated.
2. We ask that everyone keep their pit area clean.
3. We limit the number of racers in each race to a maximum of eight (8) vehicles. For example if there are 14 Rally vehicles registered we will split the class into two heats of 7 racers each.
4. For our outdoor racing all nitro powered vehicles must have an electronic failsafe of some kind, no exceptions.
5. For racers who are using LiPo batteries we recommend the use of a battery bag for charging.
6. Cost for racing: 16 and under - $10/ Adult - $12/ Extra Class $5

Indoor Racing at Leading Edge Speedway (October - March) :

1/12th Scale: This class is new to Leading Edge R/C Speedway. Any 1/12th car is allowed the only restrictions are: Motor: 27T Stock Battery: Unlimited 4Cell NiCd/NiMh Tires: Any Foam Ride Height Minimum: 3mm
Sedan: This class is open to owners of "sedan" type chassis. These can be two or four wheel drive vehicles however we generally have all four wheel drive participants. Motor: 19T Spec Brushed or Novac 10.5 Brushless Battery: Unlimited 7.2V NiCd/NiMh or 7.4 LiPo Tires: Rubber Body: Sedan 190mm Bodies Weight Minimum: 1500g Ride Height Minimum: 5mm
Rally: This class includes all brands of electric rally cars. This is a great class to have some fun in a fairly non-competitive environment. Motor: 27T Stock Battery: Unlimited 7.2V NiCd/NiMh Tires: Tamiya Super Slick Tires Body: Body must be a WRC Rally style body or Older style Muscle Car Body Ride Height Minimum: 5mm
Stadium Trucks: This class includes all brands of electric trucks and buggies. Motor: 19T Spec Battery: Limited To Maximum 4200 7.2V NiCd/NiMh Tires: Rubber Ride Height Minimum: 5mm
Lemans: This class is only for the Tamiya C-Chassis Lemans cars. Motor: 27T Stock Battery : Limited To Maximum 4200 7.2V NiCd/NiMh Tires: Kit equipped Foam Ride Height Minimum: 4mm

Outdoor Racing at Leading Edge Speedway (April - September):

Sedan: This class is open to owners of "sedan" type chassis. These can be two or four wheel drive vehicles however we generally have all four wheel drive participants. Motor: Unlimited Battery: Unlimited 7.2V NiCd/NiMh or 7.4 LiPo Tires: Rubber or Foam Body: Sedan 190mm Bodies Weight Minimum: 1500g Ride Height Minimum: 5mm

Nitro-Sedan: This class is offered only during the outdoor season. Engine: 2 stroke 4-Port (3 intake, 1 exhaust) Max. No internal modifications (porting, polishing). Max. displacement is 2.1cc Exhaust: Silencer-type exhaust system w/single exit Tank: Max. 75cc Fuel: Max. 20% nitro Tires: Foam or Rubber Body: 200mm Sedan Type Ride Height Minimum: 5mm
Monster Truck: This class is for anyone who wishes to race their "Monster Truck" style vehicle. This class is an unlimited class.
Nitro Truck: This class is for anyone who wishes to race their nitro stadium truck. It is a very open class for all 1/10 scale nitro trucks and buggies.
Stadium Trucks: This class includes all brands of electric and nitro 2wd trucks and buggies. Electric - Motor: Unlimited Battery: Unlimited Tires: Rubber Nitro - Engine: Unlimited Tires: Rubber
1/8 Buggy: This class includes all of the 1/8 buggy style nitro vehicles. If numbers require 1/8 buggies will be raced in the Monster Truck class. This class is an unlimited class.
